2. Radar - Visual Case

- October 21, 2008 - Stephenville, Texas
Witnesses in Stephenville See Strange Lights to West & Southwest at 7:45 PM

Map Showing Radar Returns & Witness Reports in Stephenville, Texas on October 21, 2008.

Witnesses saw three orange lights traveling west at high speed to the west of Stephenville. Other witnesses also saw two sets of three lights that would turn on & off. These lights were seen in the direction of Dublin (to the southwest).

Radar shows:
1. primary return to the west-northwest of Stephenville
2. One primary return is also shown by radar to southwest of Stephenville near Dublin and another return further to the west-southwest. (This return is indicated by radar to be an unknown aircraft moving to the west at 540 MPH.) Could this be the lights that witnesses saw moving rapidly to the west?
3. Radar shows aircraft with transponder beacon flying southwest at about 130 mph at 10,500 feet.
