September 2, 2007 - In the Evening hours between 5 and 6:40 PM MST several witnesses saw a bright object that appeared to hover for a long periods. The bright object was sighted at three different locations. At two locations photos were taken. Multiple witnesses were present at each location. The description and photos suggest that witnesses may have seen the same object, but at different times. The three locations where the object was sighted are listed below. The photos and map of the three sightings are included. This may be the best multiple "independent witness" sighting that our group has received in the past few years. The only possible explanation for these sightings could be weather balloons. Weather balloons were launched at approxmately 5 PM MST from Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Tucson on September 2. However, these sightings are not likely to be balloons because of the length of time of each sighting. One sighting was nearly 45 minutes in length.

October 9, 2007 Update: The National UFO Reporting Center (http://www.nuforc.org) received a similar sighting (bright large light). The sighting occurred at Heber, Arizona at 7:15 PM MST. Heber is about 20 miles WNW of Show Low. Apparently photos and videos were taken from this location. The slghting lasted 25 minutes.
