Description: I live in Chico, CA. Tonight 1/1/17 at 6:15 PM myself and another friend both witnessed 2 possibly 3 bright orange lights heading north just south of Chico.

It was 50/50 patchy clouds and clear sky. We watched the first one (which was being followed by a second, probably 5 seconds behind it) go by at a pretty good rate of speed.

Considering that it made no sound we figured it was a long ways away, but I don’t know because it appeared to be low. The second didn’t go by. It had gone behind a cloud and didn’t come back.

Then approximately 1 minute later we saw what we figured was the second one because it came from the same area it had disappeared from. It was gaining altitude fast and headed easterly until it faded out of sight. Approximately 3 to 4 minutes later maybe sooner we saw an actual (passenger ?) jet because the white and green and red lights were easily noticeable. It was headed north in the same flight path. I travel at night ALOT and this was DEFINITELY something I have never seen before.

Hi. I find it very strange that I just posted on this site about my orange orb experience in Idaho, and just read your experience happen in Chico, CA. I am from there in Chico and also had other times of seeing UFO’s when I was younger. They must be all over the planet.
