Description: I like the dragon sculptures on the light poles in the International District and snapped a quick picture of the sunset and the dragon with my iPhone, but I didn’t notice anything at the time. Later I was looking at the pictures which I almost deleted. Then I decided to see what the dragon would look like in silhouette. So, I cropped, darkened and saturated the color in the picture for the sunset. That is when I noticed the ‘blip’ and thought it was a star. I zoomed in. I don’t know what this is. I don’t think it’s the shape or lights of a plane or helicopter. Maybe I am wrong. That is why I’m passing it on to you. One photo is the original and the second is the enhanced color. Thanks for looking!
Note: The ‘blip’ is not a star or bright planet. Venus is the only planet that would be visible at the time the photo was taken. Venus was below the horizon at the time of the photo. The blip could possibly be a reflection or lens flare as the photo was taken in the direction of the setting Sun.Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting.
