Description: As seen on YouTube: Daytona race 2012 opening ceremony Jet flyover has UFO fly across the screen.

Note: The witness apparently discovered the anomalous object while viewing a replay of the race on his DVR which he probably recorded from cable or satellite. He made a video of his TV screen which is posted on YouTube. I am going to try to obtain a copy of the airing of the race which I hope contains the airshow. The footage certainly shows an object flying across the path of the jets. It seems like strange objects have been “buzzing” a lot of aircraft lately!

Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting. Be detailed in your description. You may also use our report form to report your sighting. Comments will be published if they are in "good taste" and not inflammatory.

Resolution is lacking & I never did see it “stop” in the right corner, but it looks like a bird to me.

  2. Shannon Larratt says:

Posting videos like this where it’s obviously a bird, or the recent French video that’s the most ridiculous fake (you can even see the model reflecting off the house showing it’s true size and distance — and the other obvious fakes on his YouTube channel should be a tip-off as well) really discredits the site and it’s goals. Assuming that the site is making a serious attempt to document the UFO phenomena presenting really obvious fakes and really obvious non-UFOs as UFO sightings just makes the whole thing look foolish. And if there does actually come a video that’s “real”, this collection of fakes preceding it will go a long way to discrediting it.

I think you need to be a little more discriminating in what you post here. To be honest, I think that’s a problem in the entire UFO community, an eagerness to post that lets so much junk slip through. I know people are desperate to believe, but come on!

We post most cases that we receive. Many of these cases haven’t been investigated. Only 3 to 5% of cases that we receive fall into the “UFO” category.
