Description: I was curious to ask you this, do you mean to state that this instance of flickering orange-red lights in the night sky took place on the morning of July 4th, 2015 or after the day of July 4th? I am curious because I saw the same thing on July 4th, 2015 at 10:30 PM in Tampa, Florida US, and I saw another instance of the same thing at 10:30 PM in Bloomington, Minnesota US. (Tampa is in Eastern Time and Bloomington is in Central Time 1 hour difference.) The approximate distance from Tampa to Bloomington is 1,518 Miles (2442.98419 km) so I wanted to know because the difference is between
A. If these spottings are from the same source and you put in the wrong day then they follow a near linear path from Tampa to Lethridge over the course of 6 hours (total distance is roughly 3,000 miles [4,800 km] meaning I have a line I can investigate.
B. If these spottings are from the same source and you didn’t put in the wrong day, then that means they either went exceedingly quickly around the world, or doubled back (not sure which is scarier) to make it around in ~20 hours.
C. If these spottings aren’t from the same source and you put in the wrong day, then that means we had multiple odd sightings of the same degree with them somehow being from different sources.
D. If these spottings aren’t from the same source and you put in the wrong day, then that means we had multiple sources and multiple days of similar sightings.

Note: The witness is referring to the sighting of flickering orange-red lights in the night sky in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada on July 4, 2015. The witness obviously couldn’t have been in Bloomington, MN and Tampa, FL near the same time. His comments about the sighting in Bloomington, MN came from another source. Also I don’t believe that the sightings in Lethbridge, Alberta were of the same object progressing through the sky. The witness in Lethbridge seemed to be sure of the sighting time (2:20 AM MDT on July 4, 2015). All of these reports could be sightings of Chinese lanterns which are commonly launched at New Years and the 4th of July.

Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting. Be detailed in your description. You may also use our report form to report your sighting. Comments will be published if they are in "good taste" and not inflammatory.

I was looking up what my fiancee and I saw july 4 2017 about 940 PM. Wow that is exactly what we saw. We saw object burned orange in color. It was stationary then moved a bit and was gone. I mean it was gone! The Chinese lantern explanation was good, but the object was too far up. A plane very close passed by and the object was higher. We were thinking that it could be a satellite falling or missile testing?

PS: I realize that my sighting is two years later, but I find it interesting that they are so similar and on the same day. Maybe the fireworks has something to do with it. I want to know what it is.

On the night of July 4, 2017, I was outside looking at fireworks from a distance when I saw 2 red lights that I first thought were fireworks. But they weren’t fireworks as they stayed up in the air. Then I thought they were 2 planes, but there was no sound. They were moving around parallel to each other, then they took off in another direction. Then one’s light burned out and then the same thing happened to the other one.
