July 7, 2012 – Oakwood Hills, Illinois – 9:30 PM CDT

Description: My husband and I saw two bright orange objects moving northeast to southwest on 6/7/12 at about 9:30 PM (it was dark). They were large, bright and appeared to be connected to a parachute or jellyfish-like structure that was trailing behind. The first passed over and then the second followed in exactly the same path. They did not disappear like fireworks might. I could see the light long after they had passed out of sight.

Note: These lights were quite likely Chinese Lanterns. We have received many similar reports that we attribute to Chinese Lanterns in the past few days.
