Description: One of the witnesses called and left a voice-mail describing their sighting. Three family members were sitting in the backyard and noticed a black “hat shaped” object with “bat-like” wings flying rapidly just above the treeline. The object was only visible for about five seconds. The object emitted no sound and was moving northwest. Skies were partly cloudy at the time of sighting.

Listen to Voice-Mail Message of Witness Report.

Note: I interviewed the witness who left the voice-mail message and found her to be quite sincere and explicit in the description of the sighting. Sunset was at 8:36 PM EDT so the witnesses had plenty of daylight to see the object. There were a few clouds at heights of 7,000 and 11,000 feet.

  1. Jon Hagner says:

This brief sighting can be characterized as an event of high strangeness. The sketch resembles a barrel shaped object slightly wider at the top with wings on both sides. The National UFO Reporting Center
(nuforc.org ) has a photo of an unknown aerial object minus the wings taken near Los Banos, CA on 4/16/12. Questions pertaining to this sighting:
    1. Did the witnesses feel that the unknown was a living entity (organic) or a manufactured structure?
    2. Did the witnesses think that, as the primary appendages, the motion of the wings enabled the unknown object to remain aloft and moving?

I thank the witnesses for submitting the detailed report.

      Hi:

Jeff Rense and I interviewed the 3 witnesses last weekend on the Jeff Rense Show. My impression was that the witnesses thought that the object was a manufactured structure and not a living entity.
