View Sequence of Photos of Objects (YouTube):

Center map

Description: Last night at about 21:10 I was cooking steaks and had the camera set up with a 1500 MM electronic lens. I was imaging the mountain and I noticed an object looking like it just entered the atmosphere. It was trailing black smoke unlike vapor contrails from an aircraft. Maybe it was a meteor? It suddenly made a 90 degree turn toward the north. Meteors do not do 90 degree turns. Then another object seemingly identical to the one I was watching started to appear. I turned the camera on it and took many images including the ones I have attached. You can see where the second object intersected the first’s trail. What do you make of this? You can zoom in on the object. (It was near Mt. Rainer.)

More Comments From Witness: I have this response from Chris Legeros from KIRO News Channel 7 – a good friend:

Great images, Bob! I don’t know what to make of it or even who to refer you to for analysis. Looks like a UFO to me!

Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting. Be detailed in your description. You may also use our report form to report your sighting. Comments will be published if they are in "good taste" and not inflammatory.

I also think that, for whatever reason, the Earth’s atmosphere is being penetrated by an increased number of some sort of “meteroids” or bollides, some of which are different to those that come flashing in a normally burning up in a second or so. My son, who has absolutely no interest in astronomical phenomena, saw one come down seemingly near him around a year ago. I also think that there is partial an overt AND a covert interest in these objects, but like this witness in Washington state, I don’t know what the nature of these objects are.

These photos have the attributes of a meteor, but the changing of direction eliminates that explanation.

  2. Joel Wesley Small says:

Several decades hence I and the person I was with saw an unusual bollide that appeared almost directly above us at seemingly high altitude, and moved along in a slow, undulating wave fashion for at least a minute, but it looked like a meteor in general, but wasn’t streaking along as they are known to do. I read a book by a William Corliss that talked about people, even some scientists, that have reported just such sightings as the one we had.

  3. Jack L. Metcalfe says:

These are aircraft contrails. When an aircraft is at altitude and is heading away from the observer, it can look like it’s headed “down”. There is nothing here to indicate that these are anything but aircraft contrails. The darkness of the contrails just means they aren’t being illuminated by the Sun.
