Description: This report modifies/replaces existing MUFON #44743. In the early morning in Aug, 2006 I awakened suddenly and thought to look out my window. I was astonished to see something hanging over the evergreen treetops. These trees are about 50 feet tall and about 200 feet across the yard behind my house. First I saw a grey disk just quietly sitting in the sky. After a few moments it turned on a light bulb at what would be 8 on a clock face. A second, third, etc., bulb lit until all were on between 8 and 11 o’clock. They all went out suddenly and another sequence started until all bulbs from 11 to 4 were lit. They went out and bulbs started lighting from 4 to 8. They went out. The disk face lit up with random lights all over in grey-ish and white light. After that lights were coming on in some sort of code in each quarter of the face (one or two quarters at a time) then it went quiet and a black line (in black bulbs?) came on from 8 to 12 and from 12 to 4 like an upside down V on the face of the disk. That went away and a black bar appeared from 4 to 8. That went away and the disc went into random lights all over it’s face for a few seconds. Then it went quiet again. As it was around 6:30 and the sun was coming up, the disk was going from grey and blending into the blue grey color of the sky, and seemed to fade away from right to left. It disappeared. I was viewing it first at my window and then from my outside deck with an AE1 zoom lens. The camera was not working and I didn’t have a movie camera. I don’t think there were any other witnesses, as it was early morning. I have not seen it again. It was close/clear enough to see each and every light bulb come on around it’s perimeter without the lens. The sky was clear with no clouds.
