Location of Sighting: Between Renton & Bellevue, Washington
Date of Sighting: January 16, 2016
Time of Sighting: 5:30 PM PST
Description: I was driving from Renton to Bellevue on 1-405 around 5.30 PM on 16th Jan 2016. I saw a lightning object travelling or falling from sky in high speed, previously i thought of it as air plane but it was at too high speed and looks like failing. Then after dropping to some height,it started travelling without falling at top of river. I was able to see for around 10 seconds. not sure what it was.
Note: A check of weather conditions showed that light rain was falling at the time of the sighting. Perhaps the witness saw a lightning strike or even ball lightning. Lightning is not common at this time of year in the Puget Sound area, but it can occur when cold air advection occurs.Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting.
