November 8, 2012 – Albuquerque, New Mexico – Around 11:30 PM MST

Listen to Witness Report (Date Was Reported In Error & Later Corrected):

Description: Two security guards saw a very large bright white-blue object that appeared to be descending. The object was visible for 3 to 5 minutes. The object left a trail and then the sky lit up. At that point the object vanished, but several “embers” were falling from where the object disappeared.

Note: This sighting is quite likely of a meteor. The American Meteor Society received 5 reports from New Mexico, one from Colorado and one from Nebraska at the same date and time. The witness reported the wrong date in the recording above. I called him and he corrected the date to 11/8/2012.

I witnessed the same flash of light and bright trail descending over the Manzano Mountains around 10:56 PM on November 8, 2012. It freaked me out. I never seen anything like that in my life.
