Description: These photos were taken 10 AM Sunday, 20 October from my home balcony in Sofia, Bulgaria. There are approximately 12 more shots. On the pole there is a spotlight which was off at the time. The camera was a Fuji Fine Pix. I have no idea what the object was.
Update – October 23, 2013 – New Information Received From Witness: Hi again William.
I live approximately 10 minutes away from Sofia Airport, and have see many aircraft. I was sitting on the balcony which is open (no windows) enjoying a cup of coffee. I saw the strange object. I went inside, got my camera and took the photos. The object was moving side to side and was visible to the naked eye. The object was also seen by my partner. (My partner is a school teacher.)
Prior to my moving to Sofia Bulgaria I lived in Turkey. I worked for Turkish Tourism as a photographer for 14 years and have taken many photos.
Over the last two years I have been assigned to take photos both from air sea and land in Russia, Greece Portugal, the United Kingdom, Spain, Gibraltar, Cyprus and Switzerland. Some clients actually call me a pro. Should you wish I can take the same shots from exactly the same place when a aircraft flies by the pole.
Note: Analysis indicates that photos are authentic and not fabricated. It appears that the object is behind the pole and not between the photographer and pole. At first it looked as if the object was moved back and forth, but this could have an effect of camera angle and some camera zoom of object. After some reflection I believe that the object (streak) could be an aircraft contrail.
Note – (Update – Oct 24, 2013): Given the recent information from the witness this object was likely not a contrail, spider web, bird, etc. Two people saw the object and the witness is a professional photographer which adds credibility to the photos.Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting.
