Description: The witness called immediately after his sighting via cell phone. He was very excited by what he saw. He was driving eastward on Santa Rosa Road near Thousand Oaks, California to pick up his son from Sunday School. Out of “nowhere” he saw a very bright (chrome colored) object in the shape of a football straight ahead of him. The object made a turn to the left and abruptly disappeared. He heard to sound and the object was only visible for about 4 seconds. Skies were clear at the time of the sighting. He said that no airports were near where he sighted the object.

Note: Many objects of this description are explained away as UAV’s (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). I don’t buy that explanation here because the witness was emphatic that the object abruptly appeared and disappeared. It didn’t just fly away.

I was the person that called and reported this sighting. The object appeared like the sun’s reflection on a mirror in the sky shining at me while I am driving. It was just off the highway straight in front of me about half a mile up the road. It was football shaped as it turned sideways drifting for a few seconds then all of a sudden it’s gone! I saw no smoke trails, sounds, or visuals just a clear sky. I was really freaked out and in shock at what I had seen and how it just disappeared really got me took my breath away! I don’t know what it was, but it appeared then disappeared. It was so intense.

      Mitch:

Thanks for your additional comments on your sighting. I don’t know what you saw. It wasn’t a UAV.

I can think of only on explanation that would place an unmanned aerial vehicle into this scenario. It might have been on of those ‘pizza-delivery U.A.V.s (Apparently there are such thing!) that found itself following an erroneous coordinate to it’s delivery site. It was acting quickly to correct it’s course so as not to be late with it’s deliveries, thus receiving NO TIP! Seriously though, I too, doubt that this person saw any such U.A.V., but probably did witness some truly unidentified aerial object of unknown origin with an unknown cause to be there.

Yeah pizza delivery UAVs could be an explanation (LOL). The debunkers come up with some even better explanations.
