Description: At approximately 8:40 PM my wife and I witnessed a total of 7 objects, flying from west to east over what is approximately the Illinois/Wisconsin border. I live in Round Lake, IL which is about 50 miles Northwest of Chicago. The estimated altitude was unknown. the objects appeared first in pairs with what looked like one behind the other when facing west and when they faded out. They were almost side by side. The separation distance was unknown. We never saw more than two pair in the air at the same time. The last object, was a single UFO, that followed up the three pairs and path was about centered up on the pairs trail. All pairs and the singular were completely silent. The only camera I had with me was my Blackberry with which all photos taken and the two videos are included. Also, my dogs were with me outside (I have 4 of them) and none of them were spooked at all in the least.
The objects glowed and almost looked like some kind of slow moving balls of light, but I described what I saw to my wife and she agreed with my observation, that it was three white lights in a triangular pattern with a red light in the center. (Note, I have never heard of your website before tonight and the top center image you have at the top of your home page is IDENTICAL to what my wife and I saw and that I described to my wife).
Attached are all the photos taken from the camera with my Blackberry. They are not very good. Also attached is the one video that has the objects in it. This was the first time I have ever used this camera the the first video had nothing visible on it.
One last thing, I am a US Navy trained Nuclear Engineer, so I have a very broad engineering background and I also run Northern Illinois Ghosthunters (nighosthunters.com), I am very observant and immediately applied the same techniques that I use for ghost hunting to observing these lights.
Note: These lights could be “Chinese Lanterns” given that the lights appeared and went out. Also the lights were seen moving east which is consistent with the winds aloft which were from the west.Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting.
