Location of Sighting: Wakefield, Rhode Island
Date of Sighting: October 16, 2016
Time of Sighting: 8:15 to 8:30 PM EDT
Description: A woman was watching the bright “blood moon” on her patio to the east. The moon blacked out and was replaced by sparkler type material (looked like fireworks). Then a bright orange “molten” object appeared. The object moved slowly to the right (north) and then to the right (south). The witness felt that the object was approaching her and became frightened. She then went indoors. The object was shining multiple lights towards the ground as if was “surveying.” The witness thought that she heard a low humming sound. The object was about 75% the size of the moon and was circular. The entire sighting last about 15 minutes. The witness didn’t take any photos or videos. The sighting was about 5 miles from the beach to the east.
Note: No weather data were available from the sighting location at the time of the sighting, but skies had been mostly cloudy a few hours earlier. The moon was full to the east. It is possible that the moon vanished due to cloud cover. However, this does not explain the “sparkling” material nor the large orange molten object which moved slowly to the north and then reversed direction to the south.Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting.
