Description: I saw a rectangular bar of faint white lights in the sky. I am only posting this report to maybe give validation to the one other eyewitness account of the phenomenon. I saw a bar of light move rapidly in a straight line, from directly above me to the SW. It was about two-thirds the length and width of Cassiopeia, the big “W” in the sky. It seemed to be made up of many smaller rectangles. I watched it for 6 to 8 seconds before it faded out, just beneath and to the left of Mars(?). Toward the end of it’s path, part of it separated, and took a curved path in order to rejoin the main body. It was all preceded by something I have seen a few times before- a fast moving white light that ran in a straight line, too fast for a satellite and too slow for a shooting star. That is why I was looking up to begin with. But the bar of light was faint and I would probably not have noticed it if I wasn’t already looking up. I did get the impression it was scanning our bar code, but I only saw the one pass of it.
