Description: Listen to Segment of Witness Interview. (MP3)
The witness vividly recalls his sighting in August of 1994 in Las Vegas. He stated that he was a cab driver at the time and was on his wya to the Showboat Hotel which is about 10 miles southwest of downdown Las Vegas. He said that he saw an aquaintance stopped along the road and looking at the sky. He joined the viewing and saw a bright "crystal-like" light ascend about a mile and then join a bright orange light. Three red lights then came out of the orange light and sped eastward. The lights went into a "triangular formation." The light on the right started blinking and then all the lights disappeared. The witness says that he was quite frightened by the experience and has never forgotten it. He said that hundreds of witnesses experienced the sighting and that the sighting was covered in the local news media.

Investigator's Notes: This is quite a bizarre sighting given the details provided by the witness. A search of UFO archives did not reveal any sightings in this area on the given date. Many strange sightings have occurred in the Las Vegas area and in Nevada. Of course the area is home to the famous "Area 51" and Nellis Air Force Base so strange sightings of aerial objects are quite common.
