Description: I received this report via a voice-mail message.  I called back and talked to both witnesses at length.  (Click here to listen to tape of interview.) The witnesses said that they were sighting in their rifles at a remote location near Meadview, Arizona.  The witnesses stated that they hear a high pitched sound and looked to see a large black "stealth-like" aircraft hovering right overhead.  The craft had no markings, showed a "heat signature" from the rear-end, had no visible windows, and continued to make a high pitched sound.  The craft approached from the north (Nevada), hovered about 5 minutes, and then rapidly zipped away.  The witnesses heard no sonic boom, saw no jets firing when the craft took off.  The departed to in the same direction that it had arrived (towards the north).

Investigator's Notes:  This case suggests that the U.S. Military may be testing anti-gravity aircraft.  The only aircraft that I have heard of that hovers is the U.S. Military "Joint-Strike" fighter which is being developed by North-American Rockwell under contract with the U.S. Military.  I don't think that this craft was being tested in 1999.  Also the "Joint-Strike" Fighter would be making noise when it is hovering because the engines are tilted downward towards the ground.  So what was this aircraft?  As the witnesses stated it likely wasn't alien in origin and likely was a U.S. Military aircraft.  Given the location and direction of flight strongly suggests that the craft originated from Area-51.  UFOs Northwest urges any other witnesses who see these types of craft to promptly report them.
