Description (In Witness's Own Words): I saw a large triangular object a short distance above a high power transmission line tower. A constant bolt of electricity was between the object and the tower. Sparks were being shot off other transmission towers while an alternating high and low pitched set of sounds were coming from the power lines and the object. I was sitting relatively close to a sub station also which started glowing until finally all the lights at the station went out as did the street lights and all neighborinng lights I could see. Two other objects were close also, but not over the lines. One looked much like a top with multi-colored lights at the top and bottom. The other looked simply like a ball. The dates may not be exactly accurate, but the event should be easily checked, since most power went off in a very large area. This is not the first time I have seen strange things in this area.

Second Report by Witness (In Response to My Questions): I was at the tower that evening, like so many other evenings simply looking at the sky. The tower is fairly close to my home, within thirty minutes. A highway is now going through so the time I once spent there is now quite limited. I have however located other areas with very strange happenings also. The Power Company is Mississippi Power. In this particular occurrence my vehicle power did not go off. On several other occasions my vehicle's power did go off. Sometimes my headlights would come on or the radio would start playing. The top like object whenever seen seems to pull my vehicle toward it , even when the vehicle is off and in gear. The weather that night , like so many of the nights objects are seen are clear. One odd note however, the objects seem to appear or disappear into clouds. Other than these clouds the skys are clear. The only other thing I have noticed is that quite often after seeing these objects I am bruised in many different locations.

Investigator's Notes: Power outages due to UFO activity have been observed before. The "Great Blackout of 1965" in New York was blamed on UFO activity (though never proven). The witness also stated that other UFO encounters have resulted in interference with the electronics system of his vehicle. This is a common occurrence in the vicinity of UFOs. I have requested a log of power outages from the Mississippi Power Company for February, 2000. Any updates will be posted. At this point no conclusions can be reached regarding this case.
