Description: My cousin and myself were sitting in a boat fishing approximately at 12:30 AM. While talking we were looking up at the sky where I noticed what may be a shooting star. I told my cousin to look up when the star switched direction. It was then I realized this was not a star.

The UFO moved at a speed that is not even humanly possible with airplanes. I know this because it moved so fast that it look as if it was teleporting, except for the fact that it had a trail of fire behind it. It was off in the distance, so no apparent size or color could be identified. I know jets cannot travel as fast as this because well, I used to study planes and was a member of Civil Air Patrol (CAP). Also, I am a trained weather spotter, so I know it was not ball lightning nor any kind of lightning.

The UFO traveled in multiple directions and switiched direction in ways that are physically possible for conventional aircraft. The thing that scared me the most was that there was no sound. Also, being in the middle of a lake all alone was scary. Anyway, the sighting occurred towards the NE to E horizon.

Comments: Given the credentials of the witness and his observation this sighting should be taken seriously as something unknown. The sighting was in a remote area and occurred over 5 years ago so it will be difficult to find any further corroboration from additional witnesses.
