The witness phoned in his sighting. He said that he was a security guard "in the country" outside of Austin, Texas. He was on the roof of a building making his rounds and noticed a glowing green light of boomerang shape in a ravine close to the building. The object moved slowly southward, made no noise, and then abruptly disappeared. The witness told his colleagues about the incident and they laughed at him. He said for this reason he had never reported the sighting. He also stated that he saw a lavendar colored light with similar characteristics in the following two nights.

Investigator's Notes: I spoke at length with the witness and he seemed sincere. He had watched a UFO documentary on the History Channel and felt compelled to come foreward with his sighting. I have no explanation for the sighting. There is a possibility that the sighting could be due to "swamp gas" given that it occurred over a swampy area and that it was green in color.
