Description: A witness and two of his friends were at a park in Coupeville, Washington and were watching the sky.  They saw a bright green light hovering about 45 degrees above the horizon.  The light hovered for about 15 to 20 minutes and then rapidly shot straight up in the sky and disappeared.  The witness reported that the light was slightly smaller than a full moon. The witness immediately reported the sighting via a pay phone close by.   He was quite excited about the sighting.

Investigator Notes:  I received a call from the same phone number a couple of days later.  Based on this conversation I have determined that the green light sighting was a hoax perpetuated by a group of young people in Coupeville, Washington.
