Sighting Reports 2004

Man Observes Disk Shaped Object That Exhibited "Electric Sound"

Date of Sighting: November 4, 2004
Time of Sighting: 11:30 PM
Date Reported: April 15, 2005
Location: London, England
Latitude: 51.5 Degrees North
Longitude: 0.4 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: Two
Number Witnesses Interviewed:
One
Weather: Clear Skies

Description (In Witness's Own Words): I saw a disk shaped flashing red green blue white. The light moved slow back and forth up down for about 2 hours.  It wasn't a star as I looked at the stars around.  The light seemed to have an electric around it. Also the sky flashed red only once, like someone taking a photo only no fireworks were around. A friend also saw the light.

Investigator's Notes:  This sighting was reported nearly two months ago and I am just posting due to time constraints.  The witness made a typo on the date in that that he reported 11/04/2005.  He likely intended on reporting a date of 11/04/2004.  I have been unable to reach the witness for clarification of his report.  I have received a disproportionate number of sightings from England this year.  I don't know what the witness saw.  However, from his account it sounds as if the object stayed in one portion of the sky and he observed it for a long period of time (two hours).  Sometimes a star or bright planet can appear to "jump around" due to a phenomenon call "photokinesis" which is really an optical illusion.  However, the witness described a disk shape and multicolored flashing so it is unlikely that his observation was due a sighting of a bright star or planet. A sighting at Marlborough, England (67 miles WSW of London) was reported to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC).  This sighting occurred on the same date at 7:30 PM (four hours before the above sighting).  Could these sightings be related?  The witness reported to NUFORC an object (light) spherical in shape and orange in color.  These are different characteristics than was reported with the London sighting.

Given all of the available information I consider that this sighting is unidentified.  Perhaps with more data an identification could be made.
