Description (In Witness's Own Words): On September 5 2004 I saw two objects in the sky first I noticed the UFO, 20 minutes later I saw something trailing around the UFO. I was walking down the hill and ten houses down I saw the UFO eye level, right away I knew it was a UFO, it was glowing yellow like 18k gold as this object was coming toward me it would flash red, fast as a person would blink. In the 45 minutes I saw this it was flashing red off and on over 100 times it flashed red. I was walking down the hill towards it and it was hovering with no noise, we live on the corner of a cul-de-sac. The UFO moved over my neighbor's property then ours, 30ft later turned into the cul-de-sac went over the middle house in the cul-de-sac, then turned behind the house directly behind ours. At this point I was in the back yard on the deck watching this object. I was no farther then 40 yards away from it and it was flashing red but glowing yellow. It was hovering at a location no taller than the highest tree just high enough to go over a two story house. The object was three bubbles, or horizontal ovals. There were no extra little lights. The object was glowing itself. As I was staring at it three white legs came down they were about 3 to 4 feet long, then the legs came back up, down up, down, and something I don't understand is out of the top bubble, it waved an American flag, not a cloth flag but digital, then the flag went back in then out again. The object did this 3 to 4 times along with the legs coming up and down. If the object landed, it was no taller then 10ft high and 5ft round. The angle I saw was a little below it and eye level (just one person's property away if 40 yards). As I was watching this I looked over to the left, there was a way smaller object hovering by us it was no bigger than 2ft wide, there were a few lights on it but don't remember what they were. This second object was moving up a little over down up over down over and over. When I went inside my home the UFO was still there.

Investigator's Notes: This is an interesting sighting because the witness said that he was very close to the object.  He said that "he could have hit it with a soccer ball" in the telephone interview that we had.  The weak part of the sighting is that he was the only witness.  Also the "flag presentation" is strange.  (The witness said that the object displayed an American Flag at one point.  He further stated  that the flag a a digital appearance suggesting that it could be a holographic type image.)  The witness seemed credible and provided a good drawing of what he saw.  I asked him why he waited several months before he reported the sighting.  He has not yet responded to this question and a few other questions that I sent via email. This sighting is unexplained, but perhaps with more data an explanation could be found.
