Above Picture Was Taken of Triangle by
Witness
(Triangle Had Moved Considerable Distance)

Above Drawing of Triangle Was Made by
Witness
(As Triangle Appeared When it Moved Over Witness's Apartment)

Date of Sighting: October 24, 2004
Date Reported: October 24, 2004
Time of Sighting: 8:15 PM PDT
Length of Sighting: 20 to 30 Minutes
Number of Witnesses: Seven
Number of Witnesses Interviewed: One
Weather: Mostly Clear (Stars Visible)
Location of Sighting: Puyallup, Washington (40 Miles S of
Seattle)
Latitude: 47.15113 Degrees North
Longitude: 122.28412 Degrees West
Description (as reported by witness) Walking outside, I looked
up and saw a triangular shaped object in the sky. It had a long
triangular shape with a light at the bottom. It was moving very
slowly and made no noise. By the time I went to get a camera, it
was a little far away. I used a digital camera. In the middle of
the picture that was taken is a small light. When blown up, it
looks like there are two lights, however when passing overhead,
only one light was visible. It continued to move slowly for about
20 to 30 minutes until it just looked like a normal light in the sky.
I live next to an Air Force Base so it could have been a B2
bomber, however I cannot find any night pictures of one. Many
people in the apartments also saw it. One suggested it could be a
balloon, however it was on a steady course.
Investigator Notes: This
report was received immediately after the sighting. This is
an advantage because it is easier to collect data early on (radar,
weather data, etc) and witnesses recall more details when
interviewed right after a sighting. The witness has been very cooperative and has
provided considerable detail. The witness said that the
light on the triangle revealed its shape. The witness also
stated that the light was yellow and not red (as it appears in the
photo). The witness stated that the triangle moved very
slowly towards the north-northeast. The Air Force base
mentioned by the witness is McChord Air Force Base which lies to
the southwest of Puyallup. (See above radar map.)
Radar Analysis: The radar map above shows no aircraft
(identified or unidentified) flying in the vicinity of where the witness sighted the triangle.
(This does not disprove the sighting, but indicates that UFOs are not
always visible on radar.)
Bottom Line: This
sighting remains unidentified despite a good drawing, photograph,
and radar data. The radar map shows no conventional nor
unidentified aircraft during the time period of the sighting.
I don't believe that the witness sighted any conventional aircraft
because the aircraft would show up as secondary returns on the
radar screen. Based on information received I consider this
sighting as unidentified. Perhaps with more data and if some
of the other witnesses would have consented to interview, an
explanation could be given.
