Time of Sighting: 6:30 PM PST
Date Reported: November 17, 2005
Duration of Sighting: Two Minutes
Location of Sighting: Centralia, Washington (2 Hour Drive to
the South from Seattle)
Latitude: 46.667 Degrees North
Longitude: 122.97 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: Two
Number of Witnesses Interviewed: One
Weather: Partly Cloudy Skies
Description (In Witness's Own Words): I was walking with my
family from the schoolyard we always walk to. I looked up and saw
something flying slowly just above the clouds, it was casting a
large, round, white glow against the clouds. I thought to myself:
"Wow, that plane is flying pretty darn low." Then the thing shot up
at a left angle getting smaller and smaller and then disappearing
within not even 5 seconds. My wife noticed me staring up and looked
but only caught it when it was very small. A couple of minutes later
a jet plane came flying over the area faster than I'd ever seen a
plane travel.)
Investigator's Notes: The
witness has seen an interesting object against a reference point
(cloud tops). The fact that the object (light) was flying slow
and then rapidly changed direction and disappeared would rule out
most conventional explanations (balloon, regular aircraft, meteor,
etc). Given current information I cannot identify this
sighting. Any updates will be posted.
