Woman Sees Grey-Silvery Oblong Object Move Southward & Disappear

Description (In Witness's Own Words): It happened today, December 13, 2005, at approximately 1:00 pm. in Clearwater, Florida. I was traveling east on Sunset Point Road. A small airport is about 2 miles from that site so when I looked up I thought it was a single engine plane. The sky was blue, no clouds. It was the only thing in the sky. It was a silvery grey oblong and I tried to see the wings but there weren't any. I stopped at the red light at Sunset Point Road and Highland Ave. The thing was heading south in the sky. When it got right above me, toward the left, it completely disappeared. There were no clouds so it was impossible for it to just disappear. Honestly, it was just gone. All I can say is it was oblong, silvery grey and moving southward. I asked a lot of people if they saw or heard anything and everyone said no and checked the news. I never saw anything disappear like that so I am very curious to what it may be. Really weird. I was in my car and other people were on the road but I kept driving east to go shopping.

Investigator's Notes:   Little more can be said about this sighting. The witness sounds credible and has provided a clear description of what she saw.  If what she described occurred, then the sighting defies conventional explanation.
