Young Man Terrified by Craft That Landed Close to His House

Description (In Witness's Own Words): I was a sleep. Suddenly I had to go to the bathroom. As I walked downstairs I saw a huge light slowly flashing through the window. I went to the window to see what it was. It landed there somewhere in the fields. I cannot tell exactly what it looked like, but when it landed the light stopped and the thing just stood there. After 5 minutes there finally was something to see. I was so scared I went under the bed with a butcher knife. Then I heard strange noises coming from the open window. The thing left again and it was gone.

Investigator’s Notes: The witness was obviously frightened by his experience.  The witness said that he was 19 years old.  In a subsequent email he said that it was raining on the night of the encounter.  (This conflicts with the weather listed above, but I was not able to collect weather data from the exact location so conditions could vary.)  The witness could not find any landing traces.  He thought that the craft had landed in muddy field.  The object made weird sounds that he described as "nnnnwoooowww". The witness immediately responded to my questions via email.  This coupled with the fact that he appears sincere leads me to rule out a hoax.  Perhaps he could have made errors in observation, but I believe that he recounted his experience accurately.
