Description (In Witness's Own Words): This evening at 740pm in Arizona near Maricopa was a sighting with other witnesses in the car. it was unusual in color like a off color white lights in a cluster. at first we thought it was something else till we seen it separate into 3 different objects. The lights were flickering and it was still then suddenly another one appeared, then the lights went out the sky had a outline of something dark in color outline and then it vanished. we stayed in the car and watched the sky it was unbelievable, how bright and yet so dim in the distance, we then saw a flicker of the same lights further out and we saw one then another appeared, we tried calling the nearby police dept, no response we couldn’t get any signal on our cells. There was no sound just quiet but it felt like it was there below the radar the airplanes were flying high above them they were above farm fields. do you know what this is??? Any sightings that you know of let me know please get answers.....

Investigator's Notes:  The witness seemed quite excited by what she and the other witnesses saw.  There were some inconsistencies between her verbal and written reports regarding the number and configuration of lights.  This doesn't necessarily mean that the story was fabricated rather it more than likely means that the witness was not certain of the details.  The fact that witnesses tried to call authorities and no cell phones would function interesting.  (It is not known how many witnesses had cell phones.) The witness regularly travels the same road and she says that her cell phone always works in this same area.  She also stated that when the witnesses arrived at their destination in Maricopa the night of the sighting that cell phone reception had returned. Could the lights have interfered with cell phone performance? Was this characteristic electromagnetic interference experienced in the vicinity of UFOs? My impression of the witness description suggests that the lights could have been military flares, but some of the witnesses have seen flares before and were certain that these lights were not flares.  Based on witness testimony I have no explanation for this sighting.
