Sighting Reports 2005 Couple See Orange Light & Then Lights in V Formation
Date of Sighting: October 15, 2005
Time of Sighting: 10 PM Local Time
Location of Sighting: Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada (SE Alberta About 50 MI N of U.S. Border)
Description: One evening a friend and I were sitting in a hot tub in her back yard. The sky was full of stars and you couldn't help, but admire them. Then I saw a round soft glowing orange light. I thought at first it maybe a clearance light on the foot rung of a helicopter or something, but it was odd there was no sound. (Whisper mode?) As I watched I held on to the helicopter theory, but the flight became so quick and erratic before it disappeared, it left me with no logical explanation as to what I had witnessed. About five minutes later the light returned accompanied by two more lights. They maintained a perfect flying "V" like geese heading south for the winter. They changed course a few times, as they did so I noted their flight to be very precise and instant, like a bouncing ball on a computer screen. Then they all just disappeared.
Note: The lights were orange in color and flew erratically. I don't think that they were migratory geese and I have no other explanation.
