Description: A man and his two kids were
flying from Kent, WA to Astoria, OR in a Cessna 172. While
flying southbound at 8,000 feet near Mt. St. Helens the pilot took several photos
of Mt. St. Helens. He flew right over the crater. He did
not notice any aircraft in the area. He snapped several photos
with his Kodak DC3400 Digital Camera. When he later copied the files
to his computer he noticed unidentified objects in several photos.
Picture one (see below) shows an object at about his 10 o'clock
position (to his left). Picture two shows an object at his 12
o'clock position (straight ahead), picture three shows an object at
about his 11 o'clock position (slightly to his left), and photo 4
shows an object at about his 3 o'clock position (to his right).
The object in photos one, three, and four appears as cigar shaped
and convex. The object in photo 2 is of spherical shape.
All photos are zoomed to better reveal shape.
Investigator's Notes: These photos
are quite intriguing and not likely conventional aircraft or known
phenomena. The witness is a competent pilot and said that he
would have noticed aircraft in the area. This is another case
where the witness sees nothing and then finds UFOs on the photos
when viewing later. This investigation is in progress and more
details will be posted.
