Weather: Clear Skies. Visibility 15 Miles
Description (In Witness's Own
Words): The
location of our sighting was at Vanier Ottawa Ontario in between
McArthur Ave and Donald Street. My friend and I were outside having
a smoke when from the beginning of Brant Street near McArthur we
looked up and saw, very low in the sky a round fluorescent ball with
tail going very slowly across the sky. It was very low and we
watched it carefully for about 2 minutes then it just disappeared.
Needless to say we were speechless. There was absolutely no sound
and it went in straight line.
Investigator's Notes: I received another sighting 15
minutes earlier at about 50 miles from this sighting and another
sighting 16 minute earlier. (Click
Here to read about sighting 15 minutes earlier.) (Click
to read about sighting at 5:29 PM - 16 minutes earlier.) It is my belief that both of
these sightings are likely astronomical phenomena given that the sky
was very clear with one witness reporting a "streaking blue light"
and the other a slower moving light (with a tail) flying in a
straight line.
