Description (In Witness's Own
Words): I was
on 20th and Ray Southbound. The object was to my west and falling in
a northwesterly direction. The object was large, brightly burning
and leaving a tail of what I presume to be burning debris. It burned
bright enough to burn the image into my retinas for a few seconds.
It looked quite white and bluish. I could see it for approximately 5
seconds before obstacles and driving obstructed my view. The image
was quite clear, I could see sharp lines, contrast, and no
shimmering or blurry effects, indicating a relatively close
proximity. From my position, assuming I am at the origin of an x and
y axis, I picked it up at about 35 degrees. I can make no prediction
with regard to a position on the z axis.
Investigator's Notes: The witness
has given a very good description of his sighting considering that
he saw the object for five seconds. Chances are quite likely that
this object was either a meteor burning up or space debris entering
the atmosphere.
