Number of Witnesses: Several (Exact Number Unknown)
Number of Witnesses Interviewed: One
Weather: Clear Skies and No Wind.
Description: This is very strange. It was on 1/20/06,
clear skies, no wind whatsoever. I was at home with a few of my
friends at 10:00 PM when I saw something like a searchlight a few
miles away in the air. At first I was thinking somebody committed a
serious crime and there was a helicopter but I took a closer look. I
noticed the triangular craft moving erratically up and down and side
to side and it emitted red sparks every 10 or so seconds. I got my
friends and went outside. The craft traveled from one side to
another for about 25 minutes and mysteriously shrunk to nothing and
the beam faded. Please email back, this was like nothing I have ever
seen in my life and will answer any more questions about this
sighting formation."
The witness viewed the object through prismatic Optima Hurricane
binoculars (7 X 50). He thought that the object would have been too
dim to see with the naked eye, but that the size was about 8 inches
from tip to tip (apparent size at arm's length).
Investigator's Notes: This is
another one of the several triangular shaped objects that have been
reported. Considering that the object emitted red sparks and
reportedly disappeared it is not explainable. Sometimes red
sparks can be indicative of a hot air balloon, but the other
characteristics observed do not fit a hot air balloon. Given
available information this sighting is unidentified.
