Man Sees Group of 70+ Orange Lights Move Rapidly Across Sky.  Two Jets Were Chasing The Lights

Description (In Witness's Own Words):  I saw a series of orange lights in the southwestern sky.  There were so many lights that I couldn't begin to count them, maybe 70+ moving in a close group. They moved towards the northeastern sky at a rapid pace and were moving to and fro like a school of fish, as they went behind a cloud, then a larger group of orange lights followed behind at a significantly slower pace, it appeared as though it was one vessel, as it reached the point of the cloud two identifiable aircraft gave chase. These two aircraft appeared to be some kind of jet, having blue and white blinking lights.

Additional Information Supplied By Witness: Witness stated that objects would tend to move in groups of "five." One object would move and the others would follow.  (He said that this was analogous to movement of a school of fish.) The witness called both Holloman Air Force Base and White Sands Missile Range to see if they were doing any testing.  Both replied that no testing was performed at the time of the sighting.

Investigator's Notes: This sighting is somewhat unique in that so many lights were seen.  The witness speculates that the lights belong to one structure.  He also says that two jets appeared to give chase.  It is difficult to say what the witness sighted.  Given the description it does not sound like the lights were meteors.  I have written to the witness and asked for more information.  Any updates will be posted.
