Sighting Reports 2006

Couple See Huge Circular That Exhibited a "Spinning" Motion

Date of Sighting: December 24, 2006
Time of Sighting: 03:35AM PST
Duration of Sighting: About 35 Minutes
Date Reported: December 24, 2006
Location of Sighting: Manteca, California (Immediately South of Stockton About 90 Miles East-Northeast of San Francisco)
Latitude: 37.79 Degrees North
Longitude: 121.21 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: Two
Weather: Foggy. Visibility 0.2 Miles.

Description (In Witness's Own Words): My husband got up to go to the bathroom at around 3:30 am and as he was using the restroom he looked up out our bathroom window and spotted what looked like a very very big object circling in a circle with red and blue lights blinking in sequence. He woke me up and I grabbed the binoculars and I saw a round disk like shape spinning. It was staying in one place for about 15 minutes then it moved to the right and downward just a short distance. It was extremely foggy and there was no stars out or anything to see. It then flipped over I guess because then we saw a round teal light blue circle almost like it was the underside of the object. It moved around a little but basically it stayed in one location with blinking red and blue colors. then light blue circle. It stayed for about 35 minutes at least and then moved farther away and was gone.

Investigator's Notes: The object must have been large and quite close to the observers considering the extreme foggy conditions and the size noted by the witnesses. This is a populated area, but given that the light was seen in the middle of night under reduced visibility would mean that the light would not have visible to many witnesses. One of the witnesses used binoculars to observe the object (light) and was therefore able to describe more details. I have no explanation for this sighting.
