Duration of Sighting: Several Hours
Date Reported: December 15, 2006
Location of Sighting: About 10 Miles North of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, Canada
Latitude: 46.86 Degrees North
Longitude: 67.7 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: Two
Number of Witnesses Interviewed: One
Weather: (Photo Shows Clear Skies.)
Astronomical: Venus Rose at 09:02 AM AST Was 19 Degrees Above Horizon at 1:13 PM AST (to the South). Venus Set at 234 Degrees (Southwest) at 5:22 AST.

Description (In Witness's Own Words): Mr. Puckett, good morning. I would like to pass these on to you for your opinion. The sky was bluest of blue this day. I could hear planes in the distance someplace, but these have no jet stream. This thing in the picture was around the area all afternoon. I have about four more before the photos you now have. (They have interesting balls of colours off to the side.) This object heads in a southerly direction. The pictures are also taken right here on our property, focused in the distance. I went for a walk earlier and saw a silver object and it stayed in the sky, never seeming to go far. Maybe the pictures you have not recieved yet have something to do with the sun. I do not know but a shiny object was staying in the hood and was here when I got back home. The reflecting light never waivered. In response to questions the witness indicated that the photo was taken in a southerly direction.

Investigator's Notes: It appears highly unlikely that either of the two objects in this photo are Venus. Venus could have been visible in the area at the time, but at the time of the above photo (4:01 PM) Venus would have very low on the horizon in the southwest. A more likely explanation for the sighting would have been balloons. However, I am not sure what type of balloon it would be. A hot air balloon would have revealed some flashing from bursts of hot air to keep the balloon suspended. Given available information I am not sure of the identification of the objects in the photo.
