Location of Sighting: Howell, Michigan (About 45 Miles
Northwest of Detroit)
Duration of Sighting: 5 Minutes
Latitude: 42.58 Degrees North
Longitude: 83.93 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: One
Weather: Scattered Clouds at 11,000 Feet. Visibility 10
Miles.
Description: I was driving westbound
on I-96 near Kensington (rd.) exit. I noticed an object west in the
sky, possibly a mile away. I kept as focused as I possibly could on
my driving and was was getting nearer to the object, which confirmed
to me, it was stationary. Within 5 minutes, I was almost underneath
it. It was oval in appearance, and it looked like it had a black
line (or possibly a separation) right down the center length and
itself. It was completely still (stationary) at a 60 degree angle,
with the lower position to my left. Clouds were moving below it as I
was about to get my best view, then it wasn't possible for me to see
it any longer as it was now behind the clouds, and I was also pretty
much underneath it to the point where I would have had to pull to
the shoulder, stop the car, wait for the clouds to clear, etc., so
see it. I did not have a camera with me, so there is no photographic
record of what I witnessed.
Investigator's Notes: The witness has
provided a nice report and drawing. Given this information I
cannot identify this sighting.
