Man Sees Oval Object Hovering Near Lackland Air Force Base. Object Rapidly Sped Off & Was Approached by Military Jets

Description (In Witness's Own Words): I was stepping out on my back porch to smoke a cigarette & I looked to the left (towards Lackland AFB) and saw a bright light shaped like an oval hovering so I thought it might be a helicopter, but noticed two plane lights flashing towards it one from the east and one from the west at about the same level as the object. Then the object started towards the sky & it looked like a meteor going the opposite direction (it had a tail) till it disappeared. Local animals (dogs) started barking and running erratically in their yards. Within 5 minutes, there were up to five planes flying in that same area at different heights and the only plane traffic we get from that location is military. Too early for 10:00 news, so I decided to check the internet & found your site. Sorry, no photo.

Investigator's Notes: The witness likely is familiar with military jets given that he lives close to Lackland Air Force Base.  His report seems credible in that he is "open-minded" about what he saw and is seeking an explanation.  I don't know what the witness saw.  I will be checking various news sources to see if any other sightings were reported in the area. Any updates will be posted.
