Location of Sighting: Spring Valley, California. (Suburb
East-Northeast of San Diego)
Latitude: 32.75 Degrees North
Longitude: 117.0 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: Two
Number of Witnesses Interviewed: One
Weather: Partly cloudy skies. (Had
Been Raining Earlier.)
Description (In Witness's Own
Words With Minor Edits):
I was outside with a friend when he
noticed a very bight red light
that moved very slowly in the sky. It started moving rapidly and
then bits of it started to fall away we watched it for quite some
time but lost sight of it when it faded away behind the clouds.
Investigator's Notes: The Witness did not provide many details, but given that the clouds
were quite low and visibility not good the object was likely not a
meteor. Also the witness said that the object disappeared into
the clouds which indicates that it was not falling. With the limited
information I cannot identify this sighting.
