Objects or Lights in the Same Area
Were Seen a Little Later By
Witnesses in Oklahoma City and Luther, Oklahoma
Date of Sighting: March 24, 2006
Time of Sighting: 11:25 PM
CST
Date Reported: March 24, 2006
Duration of Sighting: Ten Minutes
Location of Sighting: Stillwater, Oklahoma (North-Central
Oklahoma About 80 Miles Northeast of Oklahoma City)
Latitude: 36.1 Degrees North
Longitude: 97.1 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: Three (From Different Locations)
Number of Witnesses Interviewed: Two
Weather: Clear Skies. Visibility 10 Miles.
Description (In Witness's Own Words):
Sighting occurred over northern Stillwater City One steel circular
object with slight cone tail moving rapidly downward then about ten
minutes later another object same description moving upward and
really fast.
Supplemental Information (Received From
Second Witness): Hi, I was looking online when I noticed your
post for the sighting in Stillwater Friday night. I awake and
noticed a 2-3 second of bright, bright light that flashed like
daylight. I saw this from my North bedroom window. This area was
around the NW section of Oklahoma City metro. A co-worker of mine
saw it at the same time, while driving from Luther, OK to Oklahoma
City which is approximately 30 miles. Knowing that someone else
viewed this light I know it is significant and may be linked to your
sighting a few hours earlier. Please reply if there are other
postings or witnesses claiming to have seen the same event. We would
like to have a reasonable explanation.
Additional Report From Witness Between Altus &
Duncan, Oklahoma - March 26, 2006 (Early in the Morning):
I am curious to find out what was the bright light and sonic boom
early Sunday Morning between Duncan and Altus, OK. The light was so
bright it reset a solar clock. The air force base rep stated that it
was a meteor shower. What has your organization found out? I live at
the base of a hill. When I go to the top I can see all around me. Do
you need spotters? That's all for now.
Investigator's Notes: Given that
witnesses in two other nearby cities saw lights in the area adds
credibility to this sighting. The Stillwater witness has not
responded to my questions. A witness in Oklahoma City said
that he saw bright flashes (to the north towards Stillwater) a few
hours later. Another witness in Luther, Oklahoma (north of
Oklahoma City about 30 miles) also saw lights about this time.
I checked local media outlets (newspapers) and did not find any
mention of UFO sightings. This sighting has some significance
because of multiple witnesses. However, it appears that the
witnesses sighted lights in the same general area, but at different
times. The sighting early March 26 is quite likely not related
to these sightings. The Air Force's explanation is probably
correct. (A meteor probably entered the Earth's atmosphere at
a steep angle and exploded due to friction from the atmosphere.)
