Description (In Witness's Own Words):  Witness had been visiting relatives.  He was on his way outside and saw and bright light hovering that he described as "sun-like" in appearance.  The light hovered for about 15 seconds and then streaked off and disappeared.  The witness stated that he felt "static" and he heard a "crackling" sound when the object sped off.  He said that the weather was clear and that no thunderstorms were in the area at the time of the sighting.

Investigator's Notes: If thunderstorms had been present, I would have attributed this sighting to ball lightning.  However, no electrical activity (thunderstorms) were in the area.  Perhaps the light was a plasma type orb.  Some ufologists believe that some sightings of this nature could be plasma orbs.  However, very little is known about them.  I spoke with this witness at length on the phone and he impressed me as being quite credible.
