Description (In Witness's Own Words): Six of us were sitting outside watching the fireworks display the neighbors were putting on when we noticed a medium-sized orange nearly circular light in the sky in the distance. The light was fire-colored, and did not blink or flicker. It moved horizontally, from the northwest to the southeast relatively quickly. It appeared to travel as quickly as airplane would across the sky before stopping for a moment and then turning to fly directly north until we lost sight of it. Looking at other posts on this site, the light looked very similar to the photograph posted on the July 1, 2007 posting in Wallingford, CT. (Click here to read Wallingford, CT report.)

Investigator's Notes: This orange light was not a meteor because it abruptly changed direction of travel. Given the witness report I don't know what was sighted. Another unknown!
