Description (In Witness's Own Words): We saw a bright green light stationary in sky. It was a crisp clear night and yet there was a haze around the light. My teenage daughter and I were trying to figure out what it was when it zoomed off and disappeared.

Investigator's Notes: This is one of several recent reports received from North Carolina. On the same night at 8:30 PM EST a photo was snapped of a green object almost exactly fitting the description of the sighting by the witnesses. This photo appeared in the Charlotte Observer Newspaper. (Click here to read article.) Apparently witnesses to the sighting called 911. The only discrepancy between this sighting and the photo is 45 minutes in time. (Perhaps one of the parties was mistaken in the reported time or the object could have been visibile at different times.) Recent information revealed by additional witness has revealed that this object could have been a meteor. (Meteors can sometimes glow green if they are composed of copper.) It does seem strange though that some witnesses reported that the object hovered. Meteors don't hover! Any other witnesses to this sighting are urged to report to UFOs Northwest.
