Woman Sees Large Fire Ball Move Across Sky

Description (In Witness's Own Words): I went outside last night March 19th, 2007 and I saw a big ball of fire in the night sky. I live 6 miles south of the village of Clinton, BC in Canada. It is by Highway 97 which is north of Vancouver, BC in Canada. I went out around 11:00 and 11:05 PM and I saw a big ball of fire going west. It looks like it came from the east because I spotted it above my head going west and East was behind me. At first it looked lower because it looked like a big football ball. It was like a light with fire or flames on each side and on the back of it. It moved at a steady pace and like the flame were gently flopping just a bit. It was not moving extremely fast nor was it moving very slow. It was very exciting to see but scary at the same time because I thought that it might fall in the forest or mountain behind my place. But it must have been further in the sky because it looked like it fell behind the mountain, but I did not hear a boom at all. I stayed out to see if I would see a fire starting behind the mountain from what ever that was, but nothing happened??? It was very strange, exciting and scary all at the same time because I wonder where it would hit if it did not fall in behind the mountain behind me. I wonder if anyone else saw it? There was a truck stopped at the rest area not too far from my place. I wonder if the trucker saw it as well or if people from the village saw it? I do not think that it was a flying saucer, but it might have been a meteorite. It was something that I never have seen in my life before. I am glad that I was out there to see this happen because that is something very rare to see I assume. Have you had any other reports of this sighting in BC or anywhere else where someone would have seen it? Thank you.

Second Report by Witness: Witness stated that she contacted a local radio station to see if anyone else had reported the sighting. The radio station said that they had received no reports. The station said that they would contact her if any reports were received. The witness did not hear back from the radio station so she assumed that no other reports were received.

Investigator's Notes: I am fairly certain that the witness saw a meteor although I haven't heard of any other reports. (This is not unusual considering that Clinton is located in a somewhat remote area.) All of the characteristics described by the witness are common for a meteor.
