Date of Sighting: December 25, 2007
Time of Sighting: 7:30 PM MST
Date Sighting Reported: December 26, 2007
Duration of Sighting: Few Seconds (Exact Time Unknown)
Location of Sighting: Denver, Colorado
Latitude: 39.82 Degrees North
Longitude: 105.01 Degrees West
Number of Witnesses: Two
Number of Witnesses Interviewed: One
Weather: Light Snow Was Falling. Visibility Was 7 Miles. Clouds Were Broken at 1,200 Feet, Broken at 1,900 Feet, and Skies Were Overcast at 2,900 Feet. Winds Were From the North at 9 MPH.
NOTE: The Witness Stated That the Snow Had Stopped by the Time That Light Was Sighted. The Above Observation is From Denver International Airport.

Description (In Witness's Own Words): There was an extremely bright ball of white light hovering in the northeast sky which then released a beam of light straight up north for about 5 seconds. It turned off and the ball of light disappeared. Two to three seconds later the bright ball of white light appeared again and shrunk quickly in size until no longer visible. May I note that the sky was cloudy and the light shone right through the clouds with no problem. During this sighting my husband and I also seen a helicopter a few miles south-west and an airplane a couple miles south-east of the UFO and were comparable to grains of sand compared to the size of the UFO.

Second Report By Witness (In Response to Investigator Questions): We didn't hear any noise along with this light. We contacted the local weather department and tried to search online, but couldn't find any explanation as to what this may have been. Also, as I think about it more on Christmas Eve my husband and I were leaving my parents home and in about the same area we saw what looked like a cyclone of smoke in a straight up and down line, similar to the exhaust from an airplane, but instead of lining horizontally, it was perpendicular. We tried to take pictures, but the moon was too bright that we couldnt make this twister of smoke visible in our pictures. I am not sure if this may be related or not, but these are two STRANGE occurrences two nights in a row around the same time. That has us puzzled and left in amazement.

Investigator's Notes: The witness has described something airborne and has compared to conventional aircraft in the vicinity of the airborne phenomenon. The airborne lights were very large compared to the aircraft and were only briefly visible. The lights must have been at low altitude given the inclement weather conditions observed at the time of the sighting. The second report provided by the witness suggests that this sighting may have a conventional explanation. Perhaps it was due to a ground based emission source. The fact that the phenomenon was seen two nights in a row at the same location makes this explanation more likely.
