Sighting Reports 2007 Another Witness to the Mass "Orange Lights" Sighting in South Dakota
Date of Sighting: October 22, 2007 Description (In Witness's Own Words): Those were not military flares over South Dakota. I lived by Ft Sill, Oklahoma. I saw flares and what we saw were not flares, but strange orange balls that would light up a couple of seconds then disappear. If they were flares, why was there so many lights that we say at one point more than 20 balls began to appear all over the missouri river? People in Ft Thompson will tell you otherwise that what was seen over the period of time was not flares, but some thing unknown. We talked about it for a week or two here if they were flares what was the reason for so many flares to be dispersed over South Dakota? What are they doing? Are they conducting a secret test on the population. Investigator's Notes: The witness's report was difficult to interpret and many corrections were made to make it more readable. The witness is disagreeing with this website's conclusion that the mass orange light sightings over Eastern South Dakota and Northeastern Nebraska on October 22, 2007 were flares. There were several separate (independent) groups of witnesses to this sighting across Eastern South Dakota and Northeastern Nebraska on the evening of October 22, 2007. Some of these witnesses thought that they viewed flares and they reported characteristics quite consistent with flare behavior. Other witnesses "swear up and down" that the lights could not have been flares. The answer to the cause of this sighting probably will never be known. We have been unable to get any confirmation (or denial) from the military regarding whether or not exercises were conducted in the sighting area at the time of the sightings.
