Description: I received a call from a gentleman in Cleveland, Ohio. The caller requested my analysis and comments on the video. One of his relatives took the video and sent it to him. The above video is only a portion of the original video. The length of the original video is not known. The video was taken with a cell phone. The make and model of the cell phone is not known. The caller stated that the sighting had appeared in a local newspaper and that a local TV station had a panel discussion about the incident.

Investigator's Notes: The astronomical data confirms the location and time of the video. (The position and illumination of the moon are consistent with the location and time.) No bright planets were visible at this location at the time of the video. Several video clips were received of the light. These clips were in the format as exported from the cell phone. This fact makes it extremely unlikely that the clips were edited with any software and therefore were not hoaxed. All of these clips have been viewed and analyzed. Only one clip is displayed in this report. The light in the video is moving relative to the moon. This means that the light is moving and is not the result of "camera movement." Of course the light could still have a number of conventional explanations. A possibility exists that the light could be from a ground based laser. Sometimes this type of display can be used for commercial promotions. (However, this is quite doubtful given the size of the light and the fact that it changed colors from red to white and vice versa.) The quality of the video is not good and is of low resolution. This is due to the fact that the video was taken with a cell phone. An analysis inverting the image does not indicate any suspension cord attached to the object. (See second still image above.) The third still image above shows that light appears to be hidden from the moon. It is believed that this is an illusion created by the fact that the light has a high degree of transparency. Given this fact the light could be a gas or plasma. The fact that the light displayed a pattern of erratic and persistent movement makes this case more intriguing. Why would a gas or plasma orb display this type of movement? Given available information this case is a total mystery.
