Description (In Witness's Own Words): Saw it on my flight from La Paz to LA. I was looking out portside window down at the east cape of the Baja Peninsula between La Paz and Loreto. It was going in the opposite direction (south) at a very high rate of speed and very low altitude. At first it was a shiny bright object then it looked liked a metallic sphere. I only saw it for maybe 15-20 secs. I thought it was a plane at first, but that would be impossible at that speed and altititude, plus there were no wings. Our altitude at the time was approximately 10,000 feet. I saw other aircraft on the trip north and none of the other speeds came close to the object.

Second Report (In Response to Questions): I was flying on Alaska airlines fight 278 (I think) it was approx 4 pm give or take 15 min .I have no clue if anyone else saw it. I did not say a word I just watched it thinking what the heck is that? It was at a fair distance from the aircraft and almost straight down. (I was looking for roads in the mountains.) I think it went from shiny to metallic (gray) because of the angle of view as we passed in opposite directions. The sun was south and the object may have been in a mountain shadow thus less light reflected. I kept my eyes open that whole sailing trip especially in the nights. This was unexpected and caught me by surprise. I wasn't sure if it was worth reporting because I got no photos or videos.

Investigator's Notes: The witness has provided an explicit report of an unidentified object from an airline window. One wonders how many pilots saw the object considering that the witness said that she saw other aircraft in the area? She plainly stated that the object was moving much faster than other aircraft. I know this witness and believe that she is credible.
